This 2024 1/4 oz Lunar gold bullion coin from Australia’s Perth Mint is fabricated in .9999 fine gold and celebrates the Chinese Year of the Dragon.

The Dragon is the fifth of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac calendar, and the personality traits of people born in the year of the dragon are: charismatic, intelligent, confident, powerful and they are naturally lucky and gifted.

The reverse of the 1/4 oz gold coin features a Dragon among clouds with the Chinese character for Dragon displayed in a contemporary style along with the year 2024.

The obverse of the coin features a head portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the words “AUSTRALIA”, and the coin’s weight and gold purity “1/4 oz 9999 Au”. The 1/4 oz gold Dragon has a face value of AUD 25.

Historically the Perth Mint was a branch mint of the Royal Mint of London but is now fully owned by the Government of Western Australia.
