The reverse of the 1 oz gold Vienna Philharmonic features musical instruments from the world-famous Vienna Philharmonic orchestra - a Vienna horn, a bassoon and a harp surrounding a cello in the centre and a viola and violin on each side.
The obverse of the coin features the Great pipe organ in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Concert Hall (Wiener Musikverein) with the words “Republik Oesterreich” encircling the imagery above. Both coin faces were designed by the chief engraver of the Austrian Mint.
