The Royal Canadian Mint (RCM), located in Ottawa, is Canada’s national mint and is fully-owned by the Canadian Government.

The obverse face of the 1/10 oz Gold Maple Leaf coin shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, Canada’s head of state, and the coin’s face value of 5 dollars, and year of issue, 2021, inscribed in an arc below.

The reverse of the coin features a highly stylized image of a Maple Leaf, Canada’s national symbol, with the words ‘CANADA’ ‘FINE GOLD’ ‘1/10 OZ OR PUR’, and the gold coin’s purity 9999.

The 2021 gold Maple Leaf features innovative high security details in the form of precision radial lines on both coin faces.

In addition to this small 1/10 oz weight, Gold Maple leaf bullion coins are also produced by the Royal Canadian Mint in the larger 1 oz, 1/2 oz and 1/4 oz sizes.
