This is the smallest gold bullion coin in the 2024 Lunar series issued by Australia's Perth Mint. It celebrates the 2024 'Year of the Dragon' in the Chinese Lunar calendar and is the fifth year in the Mint's Australian Lunar Series III coin releases.

Each 1/20 oz Lunar gold bullion coin has a gold purity or fineness of 0.9999, and so is essentially pure gold.

The reverse of the 1/20 oz gold coin features a Dragon among clouds with the Chinese character for Dragon displayed in a contemporary style along with the year 2024.

The obverse of the coin features an Ian Rank-Broadley designed portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the words “AUSTRALIA”, and the coin’s weight and gold purity “1/20 oz 9999 Au”.

This 2024 Lunar gold coin is legal tender in Australia with a face value of AUD 5.
