Product Information:

This 1 oz 2020 gold bullion coin featuring the White Horse of Hanover is the ninth coin issue in the Royal Mint’s fabulous Queen’s Beasts Collection and is minted in 99.99% fine gold.

Showcasing the ten heraldic beasts whose statues guarded the entrance of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953, there are ten bullion coins in the Queen’s Beasts series with two coins released each year.

The reverse of this 1 oz gold coin features the royal heraldry of the White Horse of Hanover sitting uncrowned with mane, tail and shield against a background of textured chainmail.

The obverse of the 1 oz gold coin features a portrait of Britain’s monarch, Queen Elizabeth along with the coin's weight and gold purity. The designs on both coin surfaces are by the Royal Mint’s engraver Jody Clark.

The White Horse of Hanover was introduced into the Royal Arms in 1714 when the crown of Great Britain passed to the Elector George of Hanover. This grandson of Elizabeth Stuart, sister of Charles I, became George I, King of Britain, France and Ireland. The shield shows the leopards of England and the lion of Scotland in the first quarter, the fleur-de-lis of France in the second and the Irish harp in the third quarter. The fourth quarter shows the Arms of Hanover.

Britain’s Royal Mint is the oldest national mint in the world and is fully owned by Her Majesty’s Treasury, part of the British Government.

Queen’s Beast gold bullion coins from the Royal Mint are classified as Investment Precious Metals and are exempt from Singapore’s Goods and Services Tax (GST).
