This 2020 limited edition 1 oz Gold Britannia bullion coin has a gold purity of 99.99% and is minted by Britain’s Royal Mint.

Featuring an ornate oriental border design, the coin has been issued to celebrate the expansion of the Royal Mint’s business in Asia and has a maximum mintage of just 5,000 pieces.

The reverse of the 2020 Oriental Border Gold Britannia features a Philip Nathan designed imagery of Britannia standing strong with shield, trident, and olive branch against radial sunburst in the background. An ornate oriental border design encircles the Britannia imagery.

The oriental border design is inspired by the Chinese-themed banqueting room in Brighton’s Royal Pavilion.

The obverse of the gold Britannia coin portrays Queen Elizabeth II, in a design by the Royal Mint´s chief engraver Jody Clark. The obverse imagery also contains an intricate guilloche design.

With its limited mintage of just 5,000, the Oriental Border Gold Britannia is a unique collectible coin which has potential numismatic value in the future. 

The Royal Mint is one of the world’s oldest mints and is fully owned by Her Majesty´s Treasury, part of the British Government.
