From 1975 until 1987, the British Royal Mint issued lunar zodiac gold coins from Hong Kong that featured Queen Elizabeth the Second. These coins proved to be the LAST and ONLY gold Hong Kong coins issued by the British Royal Mint, making them extremely unique and a certain collectors item.
Each coin has a face value of $1,000 Hong Kong dollars and has a purity of .917 fine gold.
The obverse of the coin features Queen Elizabeth II, while the reverse shows a Dog.
