The reverse of the 1 oz Platinum bullion coin features detailed imagery of a bounding ’red’ kangaroo encircled by a sunburst. The reverse face also shows the coin’s year of issue 2019, the weight 1 oz, and the coin’s platinum purity 0.9995.

The obverse face of the coin features a modern head portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the Australian monarch, by chief engraver of the Royal Mint, Jody Clark.
