This 2020 1 oz Vienna Philharmonic platinum bullion coin is minted in 99.95% pure platinum by the world-famous Austrian Mint.
The Austrian Mint, or Münze Österreich, is located in Vienna, Austria, and is one of Europe’s oldest mints.
The obverse of the 1 oz platinum Vienna Philharmonic coin portrays the Vienna Concert hall’s Great pipe organ, encircled by the words “Republik Oesterreich”, and the coin’s weight, platinum purity and year of issue, 2020.
The reverse of the coin portrays some of the musical instruments from the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra including a cello, a Viennese horn, a harp, and a bassoon. Both coin faces feature designs by the chief engraver of the Austrian Mint.
Platinum Vienna Philharmonic coins are legal tender coins across the Eurozone with an official face value of €100.
The Austrian Mint is fully owned by the Austrian central bank, which itself is 100% owned by the Austrian State, thus providing a guarantee of the coin’s authenticity and metal purity.
As Investment Precious Metals (IPM), Austrian Mint platinum Philharmonics are exempt from Singapore’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) when bought and sold.
