Celebrating the Chinese Year of the Dragon, this 1/2 oz silver bullion lunar coin is minted by Australia’s Perth Mint in 0.9999 fine silver.

Newly issued for 2024, the Dragon is the fifth of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac. The personality traits of people born in the year of the dragon are: charismatic, intelligent, confident, powerful and they are naturally lucky and gifted.

The reverse of the 1/2 oz silver lunar coin portrays a dragon with water cascading from its mouth, stylised waves, and a flaming pearl, a symbol of wisdom. Included in the design is the Chinese character for ‘Dragon’, the inscription ‘DRAGON 2024’ and a ‘P125’ mintmark signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.

The obverse of the coin features a Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Australia’s monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, and the coin’s weight and silver purity “1/2 oz 9999 Ag”.

Each coin comes presented in a protective coin capsule.
