The 1 oz Silver Britannia coin is a 99.9% pure silver bullion coin minted by Britain´s Royal Mint for 2020.

The coin takes its name and inspiration from classical imagery of Britain's strength and seafaring tradition in the form of a female warrior ‘Britannia'.

The reverse of the 2020 silver 1 oz coin features Britannia standing strongly in front of a radial sunburst with trident, shield and olive branch in hand. The coin’s weight and silver purity inscribe the scene.

The obverse of the coin portrays Britain´s monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, in a design by the Royal Mint´s chief engraver Jody Clark.

Silver Britannia 1 oz coins are legal tender in the UK with a nominal face value of £2.

The Royal Mint, located in Wales, is the UK´s national mint and is fully owned by Her Majesty´s Treasury.
