Each 1 oz Johnson Matthey silver bar is minted in 0.999 pure silver, and each bar has a unique serial number.

The front of the 1oz silver bar is embossed with the ‘Johnson Matthey' name and motif, a JM with hammer and geologist's pick.

The front surface also contains the words ‘Asssayers and Refiners’, the bar’s weight and silver purity, and the bar’s unique serial number.

The reverse of the 1 oz silver bar is adorned with a recurring diagonal pattern of the JM and Hammer and Pick motif.

The Johnson Matthey precious metals refinery brand is one of the oldest and most prestigious, having been having been established in 1817, and is listed on the former LBMA Good Delivery lists for silver and gold.
