This 2017 1 oz Mexican Libertad silver bullion coin is minted by Mexico's national mint, Casa de Moneda de México, and contains 99.9% pure silver.
The reverse of the 1 oz coin features a design of the winged Angel of Independence statue set against a background of the Mexican volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. The reverse face also displays the coin’s weight and silver purity.
The obverse of the 1 oz silver Libertad features the National Seals of Mexico encircled by the official name for Mexico in Spanish “Estados Unidos Mexicanos”. An outer circle features imagery of historical Mexican coats of arms.
The Silver Libertad is one of the most popular bullion coins from a national mint. With low mintages compared to other bullion coins such as the Silver Eagle, the Silver Libertad has a higher premium.
Casa de Moneda de México is the oldest mint in the Americas and nowadays produces mexican circulating coinage as well as bullion coins.
Individual purchases of Silver Libertads will be delivered in coin flips. Purchases in quantities of 25 will be delivered in mint tubes.
