This 5 oz Mexican Libertad silver bullion coin contains 99.9% pure silver and is minted by Casa de Moneda de México, Mexico's national mint.
The reverse of the coin portrays a representation of Mexico City’s most famous landmark, the winged Angel of Independence against a background of the Mexican volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl.
The obverse of the 5 oz silver Libertad features the National Seals of Mexico encircled by the official name for Mexico in Spanish: “Estados Unidos Mexicanos”, and on the outer part of the coin, magery of various Mexican historical coats of arms.
The 5 oz Silver Libertad is minted by Casa de Moneda de México in limited mintages. In many years, the mintage of the Libertad has been below 6,000 coins. The coin is thus very difficult to obtain.
Mexican Silver Libertad coins are official legal tender in Mexico but have no nominal value assigned to them.
Individual purchases of these Silver bullion Libertads will be delivered in ziplock bags. Purchases in quantities of 5 will be delivered in mint tubes.
