The 2018 1 oz Vienna Philharmonic silver bullion coin is a 99.9% silver coin produced by the Austrian Mint featuring attractive designs celebrating the the world-famous Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Austrian Mint, known in German as Münze Österreich, is located in Austria's capital Vienna, and is one of the oldest mints in Europe, tracing its ancestry back to 1397.
The front face of the 1 oz silver Vienna Philharmonic coin features a representation of the Great pipe organ in the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein, or Vienna Concert Hall. The words “Republik Oesterreich” are encircled above the imagery.
The reverse of the 1 oz silver Philharmonic is ornately designed with a selection of musical instruments of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, including four violins, a cello, a harp, and a Viennese horn. The designs on the coin stays constant from year to year.
The Austrian Mint fully is fully-owned by Austria’s central bank, the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, which is in turn fully-owned by the Austrian State, meaning that every bullion coin produced by the Mint is guaranteed for its authenticity and quality.
