The Heraeus refinery has been based in Hanau, near Frankfurt, for more than 160 years, and is on the London Bullion Market Association’s (LBMA) current Good Delivery List for Silver.

The front of each of these 5 oz minted silver bullion bars is imprinted with the refiner’s name ‘Heraeus’, the silver bar’s purity and weight, ‘.999 Fine Silver' and  '5 TROY OZ', as well as the Heraeus “hand with roses” motif and the the words 'Heraeus Edelmetalle Hanau'. The Heraeus 5 oz silver bar measures 50.1 mm in length, 29.2 mm in width, with a depth of 2.3 mm. The reverse surface of the minted silver bar is imprinted with a recurring diagonal 'Heraeus' motif.
