Senior Java Developer - Remote from Sweden | Varying & Fun Projects | Bonus for Top Performance

Liberty Silver & BullionStar are growing quickly! We are hiring an experienced Java developer. We offer a versatile environment with varying tasks in an exciting industry. 

Our development team is using some of the latest technologies such as Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, Spring Boot and Selenium. We embrace DevOps, automated testing, monitoring and error reporting.

The Senior Java Developer role will have the following responsibilities:

Software Engineering/Programming

- Design and develop back-end systems in our e-commerce platform.

- Automate testing, deployment and monitoring.

- Collaborate with the CTO to implement the product development road-map.

Skills and Characteristics

- Self-motivated: You are expected to manage the different priorities of tasks assigned to you and manage your own time.

- Ownership & Responsibility: You are required to drive changes and improvements taking full ownership from idea to implementation.  

- Responsible: You are expected take responsibility together with the rest of the development team to develop and manage our software solutions long-term.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Excellent competence in Java, Spring and JavaScript is required. Competence is more important than working experience. A candidate would typically have a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience but exceptions can be made for outstanding candidates. 

- Experience developing web and stand-alone applications in Spring technologies such as: Spring Boot, Spring REST.

- Hands-on experience with MySQL (or any relational databases), data storage, archiving and retrieval.

- Experience with secure coding practices and resolving system vulnerabilities.

- Experience in managing and troubleshooting Linux systems.

- Proficient spoken and written English.

Nice to have but not required:

- Experience in unit testing frameworks and in test driven development.

- Experience in DevOps and GitOps and common frameworks such as Gitlab.

This is a permanent full time position. The job location remotely from Sweden with possibility to relocate to Singapore in the future.

Salary and Benefits

The salary is dependent on your capability, experience and skills. The typical starting salary is from SEK 60,000 to SEK 80,000 per month for a driven candidate, plus up to 3 months' bonus. In addition, we provide an Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) equivalent to 1 month's salary. We furthermore furthermore offer reimbursement of medical bills and access to an employee health and fitness benefit program.
